Introduction
The position of the RMPA National Chair will become vacant at the 2026 AGM, due to the existing Chair stepping down in accordance with the Association Rules. All members of the Association are eligible to apply for the position, and in order to ensure that the best candidate is selected the Trustees have put together a recruitment process, which will allow individuals to apply well in advance of the AGM.
All applicants must have served with RMP, AGC RMP or WRAC Provost and the role will also require the individual to serve as a Trustee of the Association. Trustees are appointed for a period of 8 years and the National Chair tenure will be for 3 years.
Although there are no formal qualifications required to become a trustee of a charity, there are however guidelines on people’s eligibility on holding the position and that they meet HMRC’s requirements to be considered a “Fit and Proper Person”.
