Introduction

RMP in Business was originally founded in the mid 80’s by Chic Harding and Tony Scanlon as an informal group of individuals who had left the Corps and moved onto new careers in a variety of different sectors. The group provided a network of individuals prepared to offer their time and experience to help others offering advice and creating awareness of job opportunities across all fields of employment.

Over the years ex Corps members have held senior management, head of function and Board level appointments with some of the leading organisations and businesses in UK and internationally.

RMP In Business 2025 & Beyond

Proposed to relaunch RMP In Business and expand its operation to include but not limited to:

  • Providing a network of like-minded individuals prepared to offer their time and experience to help others.
  • Provide a network of contacts of people prepared to share advice and share ‘Best Practice’ examples where possible
  • Offer career development advice and information on professional bodies and organisations that can assist individuals (Security Institute, Association Security Consultants, etc.)
  • Provide a job bulletin board
  • Assisting Service Police in resettlement by offering advice and creating awareness of job opportunities across all fields of employment.
  • Maintaining close links to the Royal Military Police directorate to promote opportunities and advice for service Police leavers.
  • Organising bi-annual networking events to encourage cross pollination and the maintainable of a Service Police Community after the Army career.
  • Assisting ex Service Police find business to business opportunities.
